In celebration of my 40th entry, from this entry onwards, I shall be dedicating a story that has caught my attention from a source that I will try to find out... Please forgive me if I am unable to quote the exact story out or the origin. I will try my best to find it... This is for the greater good of sharing stories around the world... [And of course for the sake of my future storyboard and english...]
Ice & Snow Adapted from D.N.Angel [The anime] The inspiring quote: "Please give all the time I have left to him..."
There was a couple in the ancient times, both prevented from true blessings by their social status. The guy, was the son of a rich landowner that owned by territory all around protected by fortresses. The girl, was the daughter of a poor peasant that lived on the landowner's land.
The harsher the opposition, the more tightly they were bonded together. They loved each other more with every passing day, but what was to separate them was nothing of the human factor, but war.
The guy was send to fight off the enemies that surrounded his father's land. Before he left, he hugged her and kissed her forehead, then said: I promise I will return to you. With this assurance, she left him go, standing for a long time in a field of snow as she watched him disappear from her view...
She prayed for his safety everyday in the village church. However, her prayers were in vain. Near the end of the long-drawn battle, death claimed him for its own. He was shot dead by an arrow that went straight through his back and into his heart. His called for her as his last words, and collapsed in a pool of crimson red blood. His death stilled the war, and was exchanged for the safety of his beloved home and lover.
When the news of his death reached her ears, she was grief-stricken. However, she continued praying to god in the village church. She did not pray for him to be revived, nor the news untrue, but: "Please give all the time I have left to him..."
She prayed contiuous for several days and nights, and tears streamed down enough to fill a bucket. The god was moved by her undying love, and gave all of her time to him.
At the edge of the fortress, he awoke, and found himself surrounded by many petals of a crimson flower that his beloved loved. These petals contrasted greatly with the snowy scene surrounding him, like blood on snow-white's skin.
When he returned to his home, he learned of what his beloved had done, and rushed to the village church. He found her dead and as cold as ice, slumped against the altar. He was devastated.
He carried her body tenderly in his arms and tears streamed down his face. There, kneely before the statue of god and carrying her body in his arms, he prayed: "Oh god, please return all the time I have been given back to her..."
Like her, he kneeled in front of the statue of God and prayed for this for several days and nights. The god, seeing all these, combined their souls so that they could be reunited with each other forever, and scattered their time on their beloved village.
The village was promised eternal time from the god and the villagers never forgot the two lovers...
The End. Hope you liked it as much as I did! [Wobbles]
